Tango Nuevo - Clean and Contra'd!Aja Fenn and Damian Thompson have teamed up to create one of the hottest new teaching couples in North America!
Damian began Argentine Tango 18 years ago. Since then, he has studied and taught over 30 types of dance, from professional competitive ballroom to all forms of Latin dancing.
For the past 11 years, Damian has focussed on Argentine Tango exclusively, teaching in Buenos Aires, Europe, North America and his native Australia.
Prior to tango, Damian taught Martial Arts for over 20 years, enabling him to understand body mechanics and the reasons why we do things in tango that, sometimes, seem unexplainable.
Originally from the UK, Aja has been dancing Argentine Tango for 10 years. She makes annual trips to Buenos Aires, and her development in milonguero and salon style tango developed during one visit in which she spent 1.5 years of nightly dancing in the traditional milongas. She has a childhood background in Russian Ballet.
